Welcome to Web 2.0 Group 1 Website!
|
This website was developed by a group of graduate students of the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in Summer 2009 as part of their requirements for the course, EPS 415: Ethical and Policy Issues for Information Technologies. The contents of this website are intended for people across ages and disciplines (e.g. educators, students, parents, organization members, and other professionals) who are concerned about the impact of the relationships among technological, social, and cultural changes in the context of globalization. The main focus is on the impact of Web 2.0 on education and other forms of learning and activities in the wider areas of life. The following are the three major questions that guide the students in building the contents -
|
| |
- What are the educational opportunities and challenges arising from Web 2.0 development?
-
How do these problems relate to activities across different areas of life – not only in formal educational institutions, but also to informal contexts and activities of learning?
-
How does the context of globalization influence each issue?
|
The above inquiries are explored in detail in the subsequent links-
